Day 9 - Quiet Day
Today was a really quiet day. Caught up with washing as it was atleast clear enough to hang some washing out and get it a little dry.. The weather is very unpredictable here, showers and a little sunshine for a while.
Linda and Nan went and got there hair done ready for Saturday night. Mum and I are getting our hair done tomorrow.
Plenty of cards coming through the post and so far only a few doubles. I found it so hard to find a 100 year card so ended up buying a really nice birthday card. Ian and Margery bought the same card. Right pic card on left. The verse is very touching...
Tales of a century live in your eyes
You are a hundred years wise
Your history shines in you fills you with light
You are a hundred years bright
Your're a reflection of all that you've know
You are a hundred years grown
For all that you are and all that you do
Let's celebrate...100 years of you.

Spent a lot of time cutting up photos for the collage and spent most of the afternoon arranging the photos. There were so many printed and in the end it would have been better if there were two boards not just one. Anyway we managed in the end and tried to make sure everyone was on there at different stages of the their life. We spent about 2 hours sticking it down but finally is was finished and this is the finished product. The older photos of nan around the outside in order of age and all the family members in the middle.Flowers arrived from Ian, Aimee and Kody which were really gorgeous. I took some of giving the flowers to Nan, and her opening them as they were in a big box. When I downloaded the photos the card was corrupt. Lucky it was only a couple of photos and not a day out or something. I cleared the card and put it away so won't use that card again. Anyway here is a photo of the flowers taken later.
Linda also spent ages working on a slide show with comments on every photo. We have organised to hire a projector for the night so that should be very interesting.....
