It's pouring today and we were going to go to Canary Wharf for the day. Apparently there is flash flooding expected as it hasn't stopped since this morning. So we decided to wait until it eased a bit, the thing was it didn't ease and we would have got drenched going out. Braedon is a bit better today so maybe fighting off a cold. Mum tried to give him some barley green with apple juice but he twigged onto and wouldn't touch it.

So what did we do today........

Braedon played diddy kong racing and actually came 3rd place as opposed to last, considering though it is his first experience with a hand held game not to bad after a day or two of practice.

Downloaded a game for him to play on the laptop. A farm animal game where he has to buy chickens collect eggs and send the him to warehouse and then onto market to sell. The more eggs you get, the more things you can buy for the farm, like equipment and other animals. Quite a good game. I got a little addicted....

Updated the blog. Another store newsletter sent out to now 150 subscribers and sent a couple of orders to Ian to take care of

Chatted to Aimee and Kody on msn for a little while. So everyone said hello to Kody on Webcam. Nan is quite amazed at modern day technology.

Hmm... what else...Nan opened the last of her presents. One really special one - an authentic 100 year old newspaper dated 1908.

Tiddles the cat went to the vet as he has a sore paw.

The one hard thing about this time of year in England is how difficult it is to dry washing. I am finding all sorts of places to hang the washing up like in the shower, over racks attached to the central heating bars in each room. I did ours yesterday and Linda did some of theirs today so thought I would hang it up for her.

The good thing is that it doesn't take long to dry - maybe overnight. However I miss the sunshine and the ease of being able to go outside and hang washing out. ...if I do hang it outside on the airer outside then I trudge through mud and slosh as the ground is ALWAYS wet... I must be mad I guess, such a simple thing. However there are 7 of us in this house and it is a small house, so lots of washin.....

The nice thing about going outside the back is there are often squirrels out there collecting nuts.
